Un-easy Listening

The challenge: Radio Hauraki, established illegally in 1966 and long positioned as the irreverent rock music radio brand, needed to move with the times or it was in danger of losing its place.

The solution: Much of Radio Hauraki’s core audience had grown up, and got a haircut, and I had to refocus and re-energize the brand, to attract new listeners without losing those who love the station. I did this by revitalizing the brand and redefining its unique, rebellious position in the contemporary radio world.
